Virtual B2B Meetings - How does it work?
A matchmaking event is a quick and easy way to meet potential cooperation partners in face-2-face talks, but also in virtual meetings. 20 minutes run fast but it is enough to build first connections before the countdown ends and the next talk starts.
1) Registration
- Register via the green "Register now" button
- We recommend to register with only one participant per company as several profiles of the same company are confusing. It is possible to invite additional persons to the e-meetings. Registration of multiple profiles per company will only be activated if each of the cooperation profiles has a clear defined focus, e.g. sales manager offering products, purchase manager looking for manufacturing partners, head of R&D looking for cooperation with startups and research partners...
- Select sessions in "my availability", you will later be able to schedule exact times for confirmed meetings yourself
- Please carefully read how to publish a meaningful profile and book meetings below.
2) Publish a cooperation profile to showcase your needs
Your profile has to be written in English language, must be meaningful in content and there must be a link to the maritime sector. Create a clear and concise cooperation profile to raise your visibility on this platform. Your profile should describe who you are, what you can offer to potential partners, what you are looking for and who you want to meet. In addition to organisation description we strongly recommend to publish marketplace items!
A good profile will generate significantly more meeting requests. Your profile will be visible before, during and after the event.
3) Browse profiles of attendees
Find out who is offering interesting and promising business opportunities. You can search by freetext, business fields or organisation types.
4) Send & receive meeting requests
Be active not reactive. Browse published participants profiles and send meeting requests to those you want to meet at the event. Adding a meaningful remark why you are interested in a meeting will increase the chance that your request will be accepted. Accepted meeting requests will be scheduled automatically. Thus you have immediate access to time and location of a meeting.
Booking rules?
- Everybody can send meeting requests to everyone, except consultants. Consultants are welcome to join but can only receive meeting requests.
- Incoming meeting requests have to be accepted to be scheduled
5) Matchmaking Event
- Shortly before the event you will receive your meeting schedule by email.
- TIP: Download the "b2match" mobile app (iOS/Android) to
* get access to your meeting schedule on your mobile phone
* be informed about last-minute changes (bookings, cancellations)
* manage additional meetings on short term (send/receive/confirm requests)
